Class Placement
Students are placed in classes according to their prior experience, aptitude for dance, and age. The first three weeks after registration is a trial period. Your child may be asked to try a few different classes until the proper placement is achieved. 

Classes
All pre-school and combo classes are 45 minutes in length; All other classes are 50 minutes.

Pre-school - three years of age. A combination of creative song and dance to develop coordination and expression in dance. This program consists of an introduction to tap, ballet and tumbling. 

Combo 1 - Four years of age. This program is also an introduction to tap, ballet, hip-hop and tumbling but is structured for the child who has already turned four years of age.

Combo 2/3 - Five and six years of age. more structured program of tap, ballet and hip-hop. More time is spent on tap, consisting of barre work, floor work and dance combinations. 

Tap - Ages six and up. A graded system of barre and floorwork, with an emphasis on technique.

Hip-Hop/Jazz - Ages six and up. A complete technique in dance associated with today's music, Broadway shows and video-style dancing.

Ballet - Ages six and up. The root of all dance, it also happens to be the most structured of classes, consisting of barre and center floor work.

Lyrical - Ages eight and up. A contemporary dance form that combines, modern, jazz and ballet. It is the most expressive form of dance. You must have ballet training to take this class.

Acro - Ages eight and up. The class has an emphasis on strength and flexibility, using rolls, cartwheels, handstands, walkovers, handsprings etc.
